Through the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, the Church asks God to lighten your sufferings, forgive your sins and bring you to eternal salvation. It is available for those who are seriously ill in body, mind or spirit, those who are facing major surgery, and those who, advanced in age, are susceptible to sudden health crises.
